9:00am Sunday – St Stephen’s Uniting Church
Our service is a traditional style, family friendly service which includes some contemporary elements and a children’s segment.
Many congregations say they are friendly, but, at St Stephen’s, newcomers and visitors alike are rarely left without someone to talk to. Make sure you stick around for the cuppa afterwards!
We love our music! We generally sing at least five songs, including 2-3 well-loved hymns and a song for the children.
We also have a choir, which sings every 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays and is open to all regular church attenders who can hold a tune and can commit to our weekly practice on Friday at 5:30pm in the church. Solos, duets and ensembles occur on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.
There are a wide range of theological viewpoints in the congregation. Get to know us and you’re sure to find someone on your wavelength.
The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. A second offering is taken on Communion Sunday in support of local charities and community organisations.
The service, with announcements, generally goes for 1 hour 15 minutes but can stretch to 1½ hours on communion or baptism Sundays.
St Stephen’s Carols – generally the Sunday before Christmas at 7 pm
Christmas Eve Service – 24th December 7pm
